On a cool Thursday morning dairy milkers walked down to the dairy barn to find Red Pole Booty had given birth to a bull calf.

Booty with her less than a day old baby boy
During the morning shift, milkers Mandar and Sumner noticed that Apples, the newest dairy cow and a Jersey type breed purchased from a local farm, was going into labor. Confused at first, the young heifer quickly figured out what to do and successfully pushed her calf out safely and efficiently. Apples responded well and quickly took to her little boy.
Both of these calves will nurse on Booty.
